Thursday Night Defense Scouting Report:

Chargers:

Against enemy QBs Chargers are 3rd best over the last 4 weeks. They are allowing 12.88 ppg, 63 comp pct, 761 yrds, 4 passing touchdowns, No one is sitting Mahomes regardless.

Against enemy RBs Chargers are giving up 6th most points last 4 weeks at 28.57, given up 23 receptions (9th most) for 145 yrds, Chargers are allowing over 4.05 YPC, given up 348 on the ground last 4 weeks, are tied for the most rushing TDs given up last 4 at 6. This is a nice spot for Ware (of course check health).

Against enemy WRs Chargers are giving up a 6th best 28.25 ppg over last 4 weeks, they have given up 41 receptions for 520 yards, 61% comp pct, only 3 TDs allowed. No one is sitting Tyreek Hill if he goes, Casey Heyward is PFFs 29th ranked CB on the year with a GOOD coverage grade.

Against enemy TEs Chargers are giving up 5th best 6.45 points, 15 receptions for 108, zero TDs, No one is sitting Kelce.


Kansas City Chiefs


Against enemy backs Chiefs are giving up 22.6 ppg, they are giving up 5th best 5.22 yards per carry, given up 2 rushing TDs and 360 rushing yards, given up 10 catches for 98 yards to backs last 4 weeks

Over last 4 weeks Chiefs are giving up 2nd most points to passers at 30.92 ppg, 64.6 comp pct, 845 yards, 9 passing TDs, No one is really sitting Rivers

Chiefs are giving up over 40 per game to WRs, 63.4 catch rate, 45 receptions for 524 yards and 4 receiving TDs last 4 weeks, No one is sitting Keenan Allen

Chiefs are giving up the most points to TEs last 4, 5 TDs, 23.43 PPG, not sure anyone in playoffs is starting Antonio Gates

wouldn't bench jones at this point....proven to be an RB1, bellcow workload, good offense. Bears match up isn't great but I'd still roll with him over Jackson, too many unknowns there.
