Meh..This open WW in preseason is probably worse than the RTSports complaint.

? This is how we did it on rt, too. You think everyone should just be locked and bid on? We have never done that in any league.

Maybe run waivers after W3 of the preseason? I've done that in other leagues to prevent this scenario from happening. Hell, we switched to MFL to prevent the fastest claimer from happening during a regular season week.

Guys who drafted Edelman (possibly Ware) are SOL because they weren't fast enough to claim a potential replacement.

I'm just saying, that's not standard in any league I have ever been in, any sport. After the draft? Yeah, freeze players and then when they expire they become free agents. That wouldn't have mattered last night.

I do get what you are saying though. I don't think any site freezes players during preseason games like they do reg season.

Unless waivers are run daily There's always gonna be a first come advantage. Had a guy got hurt in practice on a Tuesday it still would be a mad dash to the wire

ESPN gives you the option. I did it in a league (ran waivers once before the season began) where we drafted early last year.

This year, however, we draft next Wednesday so it really isn't needed.

Really doesn't matter for ware. I'm sure hunt was already drafted in most leagues. I dropped ware for west you never know with Reid.

Edelman I somewhat see your point because I doubt many people had hogan or amedola prior to Edelman injury.

And if we want to run waivers daily we could just stay with rt. That would mean no unrestricted claims, everything goes through waivers. You could vid zero if you wanted.

I got an email saying Ware was claimed and was wondering how I missed that

The way it was explained to me, MFL said to make the setting 1 day, but it looks like I need to make it 2 days to prevent guys from being claimed less than 24 hours.

preseason is essentially over after today, seems like a gross overreaction

if its been done that way for years and alum is just now bringing it up, he should have voiced that before the season started. Daily FAAB? Meh

Ya it's only been the same way for years.

Monitoring preseason is part of the game.

shite you added Hogan 16 minutes before me. That's a huge window for a potential big time add

why drafting depth is important

why W3? why not week 5 of the regular season?

you're just creating artificial deadlines based on nothing more than this isolated, outlier example

and at the end of day, its still a speculative add. There's no guarantee Hogan is actually going to get the edelman role.

I've always said if someone wants to add/drop based on preseason, it can go either way. You could be cutting bait on the wrong guy too soon, I did it last year in the regulars league with jordan howard

The Pats are prob the 1 team where you cannot call who the direct replacement is to any skill player. There is a lot to suggest it's hogan though. A lot

Dude already dropped Ware

It seems this year has potentially seen a few significant injures which sheds light on it.

Grabbing a guy after a preseason game because you think he has upside? Sure.

Claiming a backup immediately after a starter is injured is a little busch League, and the main reason why we switched over to MFL: To get away from he who clicks the fastest.
