Foster has been putting up 28 PPG on average the weeks he's been healthy
Jennings and Pettigrew 32 PPG combined on average
dunno. Id shoot a little higher. just because he has a bad record doesn't mean he should give in. I wouldn't in this scenario. I would need a little more.

It's not giving in
It's making his team more rounded IMO

could you compute what Santana Moss and Dallas Clark are projected to average the next 5 weeks?
I'm just curious.

Jennings is not really an upgrade over David Nelson or Kevin Walter
and Dallas Clark is slightly better than Pettigrew
it's an upgrade on paper because he has holes in his lineup
but he losses Foster which now gives him a hole at RB and only marginally improves his as far as the numbers go, which really matters.
He fills a hole at WR with a guy not nearly as good as Foster and a decent TE and is looking at +4 points or so a week. In the end his lineup still has holes at RB and WR.

how? he has a top 10 RB on his bench to replace him in Beanie Wells

Im not using projections, im going on what they have already done.
Dallas Clark and Foster give him 34 Pts per week. Jennings and Pettigrew would give him 32.
Foster is the best player in the deal. Usually in that case you don't trade away a great player to just get marginally better, if that.

exactly my point. If he could trust Wells he could maybe pull the trigger.
Its just not worth the upgrade on paper. Throw him another WR or RB and i could see it working.

that's pretty relevant considering santana moss is out for 6 weeks and his probably his best WR

he has 3 WRs with more points than Moss.

only b/c moss had a bye week and broke his hand in the last game.
I'm sure Plax will score 3 Td's every game from here on in though. That plus Dallas Clark should be potent

not saying its a horrible deal. but with the best player in the deal(Foster), he should have the upper hand. That deal isnt giving him the upper hand, and Redds deal surely isnt.
Moss hasnt exactly been consistent, and neither have his other guys. But you are acting like Moss is head and shoulders above anyone he has.
he trades Foster and instead of being inconsistent at WR, he is inconsistent at RB now. What should be his motivation?

You could look at it as swapping Foster for Jennings, then adding a Petitgrew.
I can see how he could be reluctant.

yea like i said, very slight upgrade as far as total numbers.
would be a better deal for a team on the cusp.
a 2-5 team needs to hit a HR if they are trading a player like Foster

U keep saying he would lose at rb but he alledgly has a top 10 rb to put in for foster
Posted on 10/27/11 at 5:17 pm to TigerPhan27
if he thinks that, then he should take the deal.

Can't take gnats deal or Port's deal (which was better) bc I'd be left with only 1 RB for this week. If I lose this week I'm pretty much done. 6-6 may get me in the playoffs if I can score enough to win a tiebreaker.
