I used fantasy football calculator for ADPs. Although that might have been standard scoring, can't remember.
But you're missing the point zeroing in on just one of my examples. The point is I'd rather wait a round or two later to grab Kittle/Ertz, who can easily finish above Kelce, and get an extra elite RB/WR in the late first/early second. Or load up in the first several rounds and grab a later high upside guy like Henry, Engram, Cook. I just think you give yourself higher odds with better depth at RB/WR. I've had years multiple teams that I grabbed Gronk in the 1st and the season really hinged on his health. If he played 16, it all worked out. If not, it usually derailed that team. Obviously you shouldn't draft scared and expect a guy to bust, but you put a lot of chips on Kelce continuing to put up historical TE numbers in order to return that value. That gamble may pay off, but I personally prefer to spread my risk out a bit more.
This is all based on taking Kelce at the turn in a 12 team. Mid 2nd round, late 2nd round, or a 10 team and my opinion changes

5-9 is a tough section this year, particularly in 12-14 team leagues.
I’m 10 in a 14 man and I hate it. The 2nd round is such a hard decision. The only for sure thing is I know I’m going to go one of the big 4 WRs in the 1st (Julio, Thomas, Adams, or Hopkins), and I originally wanted to go WR again in the 2nd, either Antonio or Evans, but that leaves you to settle with 2 boom or bust RBs in the 3rd and 4th. I’m starting to think I should go RB in the 2nd unless I can get kelce there

The biggest problem I have is mahomes with the third pick.
I hear ya. Thought about that one long and hard! At that point I was looking at Edeleman, Mack, Henry, Brown, Carson. Just didn't like those choices for a 3rd and said what the heck.
Not sure a Chubb/JuJu/Carson (or Edeleman) would have been any better.
Point for drafter is the mid ranges are tougher this year and each selection is going to have a fair amount of risk involved.

I have no problem taking him in the late first/early second. He has been very consistent

Right now, I'm feeling like Engram is the man to get in the 5th or so. Going to get a TON of targets, particularly if Jones takes the helm.

14 teamers suck no doubt. You kinda got to go top tier WR1 proably and come back with the remnants that may be there in the 2nd like D. Cook (unlikely to be there), D. Freeman maybe, K. Johnson (uhh...), Carson (maybe) and just hope it works out. By the 3rd they're all gone, then you need to start looking at Tier 4-5 RBS and that's a crap shoot. If PPR, then shoot for James White there, maybe Lindsay. Not a fan of Coleman there as I think Breida will be the play there in a horrific backfield situation in SF. After that they're all gone and you'll have to reach for "upside guys" like maybe Eckler, Pollard (if Zeke doesn't play),

I’ve ended up with Conner in the 2nd in several mock drafts. It seems he’s starting to fall a lot due to Chubb, mixon, and cook flying up boards and talk of jaylen samuels sharing the load. I’d be ecstatic with him in the 2nd. Just did a mock and liked my squad
Russel Wilson
Devante Adams
Adam thielen
James Conner
Phillip lindsay
Eric Ebron
Tarik cohen (flex)
Not to bad for 14

Kelce in an auction league should be a no brained. So much value and you can still land two other studs

Just got Kelce in the 4th round

Kelche gets as much volume as a WR1 so I’d def take him in the 2nd round depending on what WR and RBs are available, but i wouldn’t take him in the 1st

I wouldn’t do it in the first unless you have the 12th pick, and want to take him 1.12 then pair him with an elite receiver at 2.1.
But if you pick 6-12, getting Kelce in round 2 could be money, he’s that much better than the next TE. It’s an instant 5-13 pt advantage vs opponents.

I was 2 overall in my 10 man league. He fell to me at 19. I was pretty pumped.

Took Kelce in the second round and Mahomes in the 3rd. Love having a good WR/TE to pair with a QB

Took Julio 1.08 then Kelce 2.05.
Only thing I was concerned about was which RB would fall to 3.08 but got lucky with fournette.
This is how I see it. When you have Kelce he's essentially your wr2 every week. In my case, hilton fell to 5.08 so I see Kelce as my "wr2" and view Hilton as my "TE" in matchups.
Hopefully that makes sense

So who of the top RBs/Wrs would have to be off the board before ya'll go with Kelce? I think the ones in bold are the only ones I'd definitely pick over Kelce. If they're all of the board then I'd be open to taking him I think
RBs in half PPR:
1. Saquon
2. Mccaffery
3. Kamara
4. Zeke
5. David Johnson
6. Conner
7. Chubb
8. Lev Bell
9. Dalvin
10. Mixon
11. Gurley
12. Kerryon
WRs:
1. Hopkins
2. Davante
3. Julio
4. Odell
5. Michael Thomas
6. JuJu
7. Tyreek
8. Mike Evans
9. Keenan Allen
10. Antonio Brown
If the ones bolded above all went sequentially, then that would be pick 2.03 (in 12 team) that I would grab him.

I'd add bell and tyreek to the bolded. Perfect otherwise
Posted on 8/30/19 at 1:55 pm to MickeyLikesDags21
Bell is on my blacklist
. Single-handedly ruined me last year
ETA: and I made the WR cut-off at Tyreek just because it's the same offense. I'd be happy grabbing either one
