Eh.. pretty meh for an ACBW night. Had a bunch of Sam Adams that I don't like and Tin Roof....Very Meh. BTR is Killing me.
What's with the Sam tonight? Saw Boo had a couple to start his night. I've given up on them.
BTW, I've got a Monk's Blood for you tomorrow. Don't let me forget.

No beer olympics tonight?
Those were just tastes before we got started. Went through two episodes tonight, 24 beers... most were mediocre at best but the Mikkeller Dream Pils was pretty tasty, as well as the Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock.

I didn't get around to posting yesterday, but FBD w/ lunch was a Dale's pale Ale. Beer at lunch quickly turned into 4 and a failure by myself and two co-workers to ever make back to the office....

That was the featured beer...Meanwhile in Covington they're having casks of Nola and Lazy Mag and Vintage Stone RIS. I am disappoint.

Oh, I agree. As far as I can tell, we've had 1 cask event here in BR all week. Monday night at 10:00 at the Bulldog. BR places have just stopped caring.

Unfortunately this seems to be the case.

How was the crowd at the Cove after we left last night?
Posted on 5/17/12 at 8:34 am to LSUBoo
I know I'm an a-hole and all but damn. You've got to give me something I can't get ahold of at the store. Something new. Something old. Something Interesting otherwise I'll just keep going to random people's house on a weeknight instead of supporting local bars.

It picked up as the night went on... the main room had a good crowd by the time we left and there were another couple dozen in the draft bar.

At least that is good. But all that does is keep events like that going.

It's still one of the places in BR to go out and get a beer, just wish they could have done more for ACBW.

Mine was
fbd - Green Flash Imperial IPA (it was good)
sbd - Nola Brown Ale (tasted too watered down, didn't care for it. Maybe i got an old 6 pack. Bought it at calandro's)
tbd - Eel River Raven's Stout (too sweet, not that good)

Yea. Not sure who to blame more (Distributors or Bars)
Probably the bars. If they ask the distributors, it can get done. I know it's a busy week, but the distributors don't have all of their reps tied up in New Orleans.

Something to be said for going to random people's houses on weeknights to drink beer you can't elsewhere.
