Do they sell the smoked kind?

He doesn't have a location. Its not a store. He has pick up spots. Gretna farmers market and Abita Springs farmers market are 2 of the main locations. I believe he has a couple more.
Edit: You message him to make an order choose a pickup location.

That's them, ole Lester Folse started it up about 3 months ago. Everything I had so far was good. There rice-less boudin was good but I prefer it with rice.

quote:Great info thanks........ that being said, that's just too much pre work for boudin. I guess if you are in a semi boudin wasteland like N.O it works.

Ronnie's is pretty damn good. It's not as good as Billy's
Ronnie's boudin, especially the smoked, is better than Billy's. But Billy's is good. Ronnie's is just excellent.
Cochon's is ok, but Donald Link bakes it in a pan before serving, to make the skin crisp which throws the texture off.. then he serves it with pickles and mustard, which basically got him run out of Lafayette.

I second Jamison. Very, very good stuff.

Thin crispy casing?
That completely ruins the product.

Different strokes, I guess. I find the smoked is pretty close to Billy's, but after having more Billy's last weekend, their regular is clearly superior to Ronnie's regular. Ronnie's smoked doh...

I had Billy's this past weekend and it was very good.

Ronnies lends itself to making great boudin balls.

Can't find an address for Jamison. Oparates in movile fashion it seems?
I'm at a conference across from dome and boudin hard to find.

WJ's Smokehouse in Laplace. Regular and Smoked. Only have it vacuum sealed/frozen, but that's the way you want to travel with it.

Boudin is Prairie Cajun, NOLA is a Crrole Town

Anyone familiar with this stuff? Coworker from baton rouge got some from her family and passed on to me to throw in the smoker.

I recommend Jamison highly, he lives in Belle Chasse. If you message him, maybe you can pick it up there.
