Goodwood Grill has a good rep, but I’ve never been.
That place is trash.
I actually like Leblanc's in Zachary but I wouldn't call that a best of anything and it isn't in Baton Rouge.

Why does a new thread on this exact topic keep popping up seemingly every month?
Because the search function sucks?

I had the K Street burger a few months ago, and it was incredible. Best burger I've had in BR.
I've also tried the Overpass merchant burger twice now, and both time it's been awful. Soggy bun and no flavor patty. I don't understand why this board hypes it up so much.

100% in agreement. I wasn’t expecting that.

I had a curbside burger at the LSU golf tournament and it was fantastic.

I’m not from BR and don’t live here but I do work here so I haven’t had a lot of burgers around here but had one from Dixie Made that was good.

The smith burger at burgersmith is really under rated in these threads, it’s damn good. They’ve got great fries and always have good beers on tap.

Riverside Patty is well loved but I haven’t been impressed by it lately.
this place is a DUMP not to mention the burger is basic af
quote:and curbside has been shite for a while. They were never great. It was a great burger from a truck. Overpass was good, and yes "same place" but the overpass burger is better than curbside.
as mentioned Curbside is usually my go-to.
Reading other peoples posts it seems Curbside and overpass have really fallen off lately. I havent been to either in a while.

I'd say BurgerSmith is the best but I also like Curbside and OPM. These burgers are more in line with burgers from Company Burger in Nola. It's been a while since I've been to Port of Call which I don't remember being very good. Thick, dry hamburgers on crappy buns arent my thing so take my advice w/ a grain of salt.

Admittedly it’s been a few years since I’ve visited Port of Call (New Orleans Covid BS). In all of my visits; that thick, fresh ground patty ordered MEDIUM has been perfection! As with any thick burger, overcooking will give a hockey puck-like mouthfeel.

Sorry but Port of Call sucks. WTF kind of burger place uses artificial bacon bits? GTFOH
