Only on Wednesdays, but the Stockyard Cafe has the best fried chicken in town.

Can anybody verrify this 'Will Cover' claim?

Never been to the Stockyard Cafe. I am assuming it is the one on the east end of the Old Mississippi River Bridge. Is the food good enough to make a visit?

I think so. It's the place I go to on Wednesdays.

Breast, wing, 3 sides, cornbread and a drink for $9.00. Cash only.

Yep. Wish I could get over there more often for lunch.

Piccadilly's fried chicken is damn good, but you have to kick it up a notch and eat some jalepeno peppers with it.

This is Chicken Shack.. don't miss out on that peach cobbler..

Albertson's has good fried chicken and Monday's it's a steal..
Pick a Pack in Port Allen has great fried chicken and the pieces are huge.
Matherne's on Bluebonnet has even better chicken than Albertson's.
