Plain cinnamon king cakes are gross. Dry and blah.

Give me blueberry cream cheese any day.

The best King Cake I've ever had in my life Come from across the river in Donaldsonville, La. It came form Bernardo's Catering or Chefs Chicken. The story was an Old man made them and he passed away and the King Cakes never returned. They had more filling than they had bread and they were huge. Think they were around $40-$50 but it was money well spent.

Or any kind of cream cheese really. I just don’t like plain king cake.

Zulu is great. Bavarian cream too

Now a boudin stuffed king cake is where it’s at.

Thanks for the feedback. Picking it up for a client. Trying to be unique. He’s one of those who doesn’t want for much and has probably tried everything.

Not in Baton Rouge, but Navarre's in Springfield (in the LP) has the best king cakes! Pecan praline. You are welcome.
