I dont know why, but it always causes a huge endorphin rush from that first bite. To the last. Its amazing. Ive driven 5 hours round trip in one day, just go get one.
I ended up with a Sausage Biscuit with Milk!

I liked their sliced brisket better than the chopped. What I wished they wouldn’t do is put BBQ sauce on them. I tell them no BBQ sauce when they make mine. The sliced turkey is pretty good TBH.

Haven't tried the cheesesteak yet. Not a big fan of their brisket, but the turkey, SEC biscuit, HEC croissant, breakfast burrito, and jalapeno chees kolaches are quite good. The salads are good too.

At the end of the day, it's still a gas station BBQ sandwich. If it were a Louisiana based company, it might be better gas station food.
I don’t know if anyone remembers but when I was a kid the Pac a Sack convenience stores had a bbg beef sandwich that was great and it was $.50
Allen Penniman owned them and he also brought and owned Icee so we could get both for under a dollar.
Sold the stores to 7-11.

I think they are decent enough. Not great but not horrible.

Damn, haven't heard that name in about 40 years. Used to be one around the corner from my grandmother's house in Mobile...just up the service road (so us 4-10 year old kids could be safe from traffic, ya know) so it was walkable.
$1.50 made you the fricking king.

They aren't anything special but considering you're at a gas station you should be pleased. I'm pretty sure Bucees BBQ is better than 90% of the bbq around the country.
