Closing Out The year

Got up this morning, made a pan of biscuits and fried some sausage. Had a sausage biscuit and a butter/ jelly biscuit for breakfast. A nine pound butt roast that I punched a bunch of holes in to stuff with garlic and green onions. Seasoned it up and put it in the fridge to rest until tomorrow. Got two heads of cabbage and some black eyed peas. Will go traditional and have pork roast, black eyed peas, rice, gravy, smothered cabbage, coleslaw and cornbread, tomorrow. Met some friends for afternoon drinks, homemade head cheese (not mine) and fried quail. Was given a dozen duck eggs to bring home. You folks have a happy new year’s!
