I love red beans and rice with a good smoked sausage/andouille. Preferably with Mexican cornbread but a good biscuit will do.

Usually a main dish at home; side elsewhere.

What restaurants serve them as a side?

Would you consider a cup of red beans as a side? Ate lunch at The Chimes in Lafayette a couple weeks ago and I got a bowl of RB&R as my main dish, while my daughter got a cup of RB&R to go along with some wings. You can also get a cup(small serving) of RB&R at Prejean’s or a bowl.

Both of those restaurants have some of the best bought RB&R I’ve ever eaten. Eat them damn near every time I go to either one of those restaurants.

RB&R is a side and chili is a condiment. Fight me.

The red beans with andoille, fried chicken breast (instead of grilled), greens and/or corn grits may be the best lunches of all time
