When I lived in DC, I ate it once a week or so...it may be my favorite ethnic cuisine
Everytime I go back to DC I hit the corner of 9th and U.

I am trying to remember my favorite...it was across the street from a black community theatre...
Maybe near scott circle....I am not sure, but the Ethiopians were running more than just food there.

DC is a great eating town for the Ethiopian food alone.

DC was where I really began to love ethnic foods...there is everything you can imagine there. Adams Morgan alone must have 15 different varieties of food being served (The Grill from Ipanema- Brazilian was one of my favorites).

NYC has some great Ethiopian places. I live two blocks away from the Queen of Sheba (10th ave between 46th and 47th) and there are two others within a five minute walk. The flavors are spicy and different. The injera is unique but my favorite ingrediant is kibe- which is kind of an infused butter. Can't miss with Wot and injera though.
