When I eat at Katie’s they have all the Tobasco HS on each table. Interesting to taste each one.

That's because the wife or a partner is in the Mcilhenny family. I tried the Chinese Tobasco there and really liked it. Maybe it is called Sweet and Spicy now.

Typically rotate between these for most local dishes

Louisiana Gold
Louisiana
Crystal

As someone mentioned, Tabasco is good on greens

Shriracha for asian dishes

Dave's Ghost Pepper when living dangerously. Great flavor but control is essential.

Mexican - I like to try different ones served around town at the various taco joints.

Crystal Louisiana And I used to love Tiger Sauce as a kid.

Same here. Louisiana and Crystal for most things. I grew up using Tiger Sauce in red beans and rice, still do every now and then.

We used Texas Pete growing up, still like it on occasion. Frank's is good too, not the hottest, but has a nice flavor. Other than that, I like the Louisiana sauce. Sometimes I also get the chipotle Tobasco sauce, it's real good on pizza.

I think Tabasco mostly tastes like vinegar. Crystal has a much better flavor, but it isn't very "hot".

Crystal comes in both regular and extra hot. Not all stores carry the extra hot.

I like complimentary heat as opposed to burning heat which ruins flavor for me. I like different sauces for different reasons. One of my favorites for certain things is Cochon Butcher’s sweet potato habanero sauce. I can eat it off a spoon.

Not for everyone. Must have a taste for REAL spicy hot sauce. To me it hits the mark with just enough spicy and sweet to bring out the flavor in just about everything I cook.

I agree with Tabasco Family Reserve, very tasty and my favorite hot sauce.

Everyone loves to knock on Tabasco because it’s the Old Granddaddy, and all the cool new flavors are in, but it is extremely versatile.

Stranded on an island of no spices etc, had to choose one sauce — Tabasco.

This is my favorite. Regular Crystal is great but has no heat.

Can’t find the extra hot here anymore.
