things have picked up out there pretty well .. on friday and saturday nights .. the place gets pretty crowded with the grape, the loft and the restaurants ... point being, for the fish city grill to blame their failure on perkins rowe is ludicrous .. next time you are in town, you need to check the place out ..

I was just trying to start shite.

Seems like every time a thread pops up about Perkins Row(e), it'll run 10 pages of nothing but stupidity.

I failed. frick.

they have gotten a lot of their shite straight out there .. also, tommy spinosa's legal troubles have nothing to do with the downstairs commercial at all ... and, spinosa's legal troubles were covered in a very biased fashion by people that don't understand the business, politics, and protocol of major development and relayed to an audience that had even less of an understanding .. all they heard were the words "perkins rowe" and "sued" ... why channel 9 would want the place to fail amazes me .. they won't get their wish ..

On the subject of Fish City Grill. I had a great time and dinner there several months ago...maybe it was a good night for the cook staff.

From what i understand about Perkins Rowe and TS, is that he threw the original contractor off the job for nonperformance, and then brought in his own contractor to finish. They signed up all the original subs to complete. then TS didnt pay them for extra work or for the work they performed under there contract. All of it sounds really fishy to me, especially since he got rid of the low bid contractor....

I thought Camillia Grill was going to open in Perkins Rowe? Maybe this could be the site.

It's supposed to be on the corner closest to Orvis.

It was not competitively bid. The contractor that was run off negotiated it with JTS. They both sucked.

I wonder how much longer Orvis has. I NEVER see any cars there, even on weekends. With Bass Pro, Cabela's, and Bowie right there I don't see how this overpriced place can survive.

Orvis is completely different from those other three places you listed. While they do offer fly fishing hardware/gear, they aren't really an outfitter anymore. Their clothes are pretty nice, and they have sales all the time.

Just like with everything else that was set to go in PR, its target demographic isn't the Denham Bass Pro crowd.

I went there a few times for drinks and apps either before or after a movie. As far as draft beer and fried shrimp they did pretty good. One time they had crawfsih and I asked how they were, the waitress was telling me they were pretty good while the customer behind her who had ordered them was shaking his head no. I'm just mad that I had gift cards for the place that I can't use now.
