Beer nerds will pay that in a heartbeat. Calandros knows this and upcharges accordingly. You go to Calandros for the great selection and to always find something new to try, not for the value. If you want a cheap decent DIPA then grab some New Belgium Rampant or Sam Adams Rebel Rouser at a different store. Or brew your own!

The fact that it cost more per ounce than most great DIPAs is the reason I will never purchase a bottle of this

I'm with you. I refuse to buy Prairie or Mikkeller beers due to lack of value.

I've been a long time customer of Calandro's. This price gouging by them is a recent phenomenon. Nobody else in town sells Ghost for $13.99 a 4-pack. But Calandro's Perkins does. Interestingly enough, the Government store doesn't jack up the prices the same way. There are plenty of options in town that don't try to take advantage of us beer nerds in every release.

And I like supporting Joan at Bev Store. She orders stuff for me, holds special releases for me and doesn't try to take advantage of me at every turn.

Beverage Store service and pricing is so much better than Calandro's. I just wish they would sell singles.

it's like 7 bucks at the brewery
you can drive over there on Saturdays and buy all you want
it's a cool place to hang and day drink as well
