I’ve heard of Sweet Joy in Pineville and Sweet Mona’s in Ball. Anyone tried either and have a preference?

Haven't had their king cake but Sweet Joy makes some great breakfast food (esp. the croissants) and sandwiches.

Their king cakes are phenomenal. You'll probably have to call them and place an order ahead of time because they sell out quickly.

I’ve never gotten anything that wasn’t awesome from Sweet Joy.
And while not my favorite bakery, Atwood’s makes a really good middle of the road one. Not donut and not a dry hunk of bread
