Capital is a spin off from DCS. Do not buy Viking. Ask anyone who has bought Viking in the last 5 years what they think about it. Their quality has really gone downhill. You can do much better for less money.
Go with Thermador and don't look back.

Not for me. Another trend I see going the way of the Dodo. I'm even annoyed at those things when I'm at friend's houses.

OBTW,,,, gas over gas, or dual fuel? I have always had dual fuel, but, there is a SIGNIFICANT price difference. The negative on the gas over gas is that it doesn't have a self cleaning feature.. Would this be a deal breaker on the all gas,for most of you fine folks?

I have a JennAir range that is gas/gas. It's pretty badass, but it doesn't have a self cleaning feature. The oven could work better, and heat up faster - but it is what it is. Didn't want to spend more than $4500 anyway. We didn't match appliances - GE fridge, dishwahser, and hood (not Profile like the others) and the range is different. Old arse pic of the kitchen...

Geauxt, I have not been on in a while. NE La is a soft spot for good kitchen dealer outlets the only one there is Key Millwork and they don't handle Blue Star. Here is my email if you want to contact me about kitchens stuff. I'm in the bis. Sold Viking,Wolf,Therm and a large number of others over the years. dean@lwhinc.com

I don't find the lack of a self cleaning oven to be an issue at all. They really only need to be cleaned like once a year and they sell cleaner you spray in there and crank the oven up to 500 for a few hours that works well.

You have no idea. The living room, dining room and kitchen are all the same green. We put bamboo floors in after the storm and kind of took it to the limit with the wall color. Most people say they love it, but would never do it to their place.

ETA: I'm one strange home decorator. Check out the backsplash I made.

OK, we kinda came to that same conclusion as well.. Gas over gas, especially for the price difference, aprox. $2500... Most of the chefs told me that they had gas ovens and just turned it up on high, and it pretty much burned most of it off...
MM, I appreciate the offer on the BlueStar info, but, unfortunately, I think she is sold on the "red knobs"..
Thanks guys...

Here are some pics of my kitchen. It is not real commercial, but looks the part. I looked at a lot of hoods, and Vent-A-Hood is the brand I went with.Good Luck.
