Most of those places sell IDs that are sufficient for allowing some guy to buy a pack of smokes or buy beer. I've been to clubs that wouldn't let someone in if they had a foreign I.D. or a passport.
So it is just a fake ID shop, only they use the ID's for beer & tobacco, and not for criminal purposes or to get government assistance they shouldn't qualify for. Gotcha
Back to the topic, I haven't tried their food yet, but I have been to the place on Sherwood. I think it is the same family. It wasn't the worst Mexican food I've eaten, but not good enough for me to go back.

Just seems like another way to get some money out of these folks and rather pointless.
I'm sure Javier and the boys don't think it's pointless when they get to buy beer.

It's cheaper now a days to just use a roast. Getting the head, or even just the cheeks of the animal is a lot more expensive than it used to be.
Barbacoa was usually a ranch hand/worker type dish, but with the resurgence of back to our roots cuisine that seems to be going around now a days, it's pretty hip to be eating this type of stuff, and folks are making money off it.
