Enjoying a beautiful morning out here in Pigeon Forge. I think I’m ready to leave Louisiana. It’s gorgeous out here with not miserably hot weather.

I went on an (unplanned) binge for the holiday weekend. One of my uncles came to town, and he’s one of the big time smokers in the family. He’s that family member that EVERY picture you see of him, he’s holding a cigar besides him, or has one in his mouth. He’s also the one that introduced me to perique tobacco from St James, and the “original” Liga Privada.

It was non stop full bodied, heavy hitters the whole weekend. I haven't touched anything since the 4th, and don’t plan on until the weekend. I’m wore out from Connecticut Broadleafs.

I got a box of Quintero y Hermano Nacionales Habanos from 2016, that imma get into on Friday. They’re good, mild cigars that gives off trademark Cuban “pleasant” aromas.

What type humidor (wood, other) and where do you have it placed? Might be able to offer some help.

Sounds like a great time!

I worked on the property for 6 hours this morning through 1pm, and I’ll be damned if I didn’t drop this beauty in the pool 2 minutes after taking this picture…. Anyways, cheers to Saturday!

I did about an hour and a half of yardwork and had to quit. Real feel was 110 degrees. Had covid a few weeks ago and the heat still just completely drains me

Yes sir was really impressed with the combo, just the right sweetness to balance out the tequila (which I’m still learning)
Will definitely be a summertime combo going forward

No pics but had a Ron Zapaca 23yr rum and pineapple juice and AF Hemingway Short Story. Nice balance of tobacco and the sweet pineapple juice.

That's gotta be a $12,000 box. Maybe if I win the lottery before then.

Gringeaux, there are not many blends or brands of cigars using Perique, as it is perceived to be too strong for cigars.

Here is one, and I am not even sure of the currency in their online store. I had not heard of these guys.
1881 Perique

These are distributed in the United States by Arango, but they are a wholesale operation, not a retail one.

Big River Trading Company used to make these, they were a tobacconist in the French Quarter some 20 years ago. They have been gone a long time, now.
