I just mentionedin another thread, I think Popeyes used liquid smoke in their red beans.

I use it in marinades for grilling...along with several other ingredients depending on the meat.

BTW, Liquid Smoke and Fajita Marinade are the same thing (read the labels). Buy whichever is cheaper.

I add it to fresh red beans in the crock pot. Gives them the popeyes flavor.

If you want Popeyes flavor in your beans take a package of hot dogs raw and run through the food processor then add to your red beans.

I was actually going to pick up a bottle, but there was a 3oz jar for $1.09 next to a 16oz jar for $1.39, so there's obviously (or hopefully) a huge quality difference.
