I'm on a Renal diet but want memorial day crawfish. I can have some salt but not a lot.
Anyone familar with a boil mix that is low sodium or would I need to buy the ingredients and make my own?
Thanks

You’re gonna have to become a food chemist and make your blend. My suggestion: cayenne pepper, liquid crab boil, lemons, and minimal salt. How much … I have no clue. Maybe a 1/4-1/3 cup ? ?

I posted this in the last thread about this LINK
Chackbay:
Sodium: 150mg per 1/4 tsp.
There are 192 servings in the bag so 28,800mg or 28.8g.
That’s not a lot when it comes to a large pot of water.
You can also do like the old crawfish boils before all the mixes and use the boil in a bag. You used to have to add salt with those.

Maybe use some sort of vinegar?

Louisiana crab, shrimp, crawfish Boil doesn’t have sodium and also comes with different flavors & spices to choose from.

2nd using Chackbay mix. For a normal boil in a 100 qt I will add 1 cylinder of salt with the first batch, maybe 1/2 max for the second, and none for additional batches, just more Chackbay. But I've done a batch in an 80 qt with no added salt and turned out pretty decent.

There was another similar thread recently, but I can't find it. Liquid crab boil and the seasoning bags were suggested as I recall.

I made my own seasoning and just cut the salt in half.
Added a lot of citrus and garlic for flavor.
About to pull it now.

Mix your own seasoning and cut back on the salt. Unfortunately salt is needed to get them tasting good, but I would think adding more citrus may help your cause.
