have a patch of mint in a tub that I never really have done much with.

Made a batch of ice cream and steeped some leaves in the milk/cream. I was skeptical that it would impart much flavor but it turned out very nice. I mixed in some Oreo cookie chunks at the end.

Any suggestions for other uses for mint leaves? Have used it to flavor tea and drinks but that's about it.

Mohitos.

I've done the ice cream twice. It comes out great. I drop in slivers of very dark chocolate near the end. I freeze the chocolate bar before chopping.

If you like iced tea, try brewing some with the mint leaves in the water as it steeps for a nice refreshing flavor.

I do this a good bit and make it with my coffee maker a gallon at a time. Toss in the tea bags in the strainer, cut up several fresh mint leaves to go with the bags and let it brew. It makes 12 cups and I add cold water to make it come out to 1 gallon.

I add just a bit of sugar when it's done and will slice up some fresh lemon to squeeze in it when I drink it. I find it very refreshing on hot days.

Dear Facebook,

I ruined myself on fresh mint.

My mother had a garden and made the mistake of planting mint, it spread like wildfire. Me and my little redneck friends would roll up the leaves and dip them, like Copenhagen, and feel the burn, like we were cool and actually dipping. Even got called out a few times from other neighborhood moms who thought we were dipping, and we'd have to spit it out and show it was just mint, not Skoal.

But fresh mint is ruined for me now.

But I still like artificial mint flavoring.

Iced tea

Does that sound odd to you? It is tea with ice in in, thus iced tea. There's a lot of recipes on line for Iced Tea if you care to look them up.

Mojitos and Mint Juleps. Of course, I drink a lot, but I have a fantastic mint garden.

A salad of watermelon, tomatoes, basil, tomatoes and mint topped with olive oil and lemon juice is very good.

I don't cook much with them, but I grow the shite out of them outside in pots. Wasps hate the smell and it keeps them away from areas we congregate in.
