I'll say Ruffino's as well. Maybe just not my cup of tea, but I wasn't all that impressed.
There it is. IMO easily the most love/hate in the area. Some people go way out of their way to go there, others hate it. I've been once, calamari was partially frozen.

Ruffinos is average at best Italian food, that is way overpriced.
Walk ons is good for drinks and sports games and that's about it.

Two of "the best" steakhouse in BR are chain restaurants in Flemmings and Ruth Chris. Are there any great locally owned steakhouse in BR?

Pluckers food is fine for the kind of restaurant it is, but it's prices are laughably high to me.

The one in Lafayette is really good, I had doubts after eating in br but I go there once a week now
I miss the hell out of Riverside Inn.

I agree with all, including Ruths... except for Pluckers. I eat there on the reg and it's always legit, and the Pluckers rewards are great.

I think Sammy's is pretty overrated.

Know how I know you're a cheapskate?

TJ Ribs baby back ribs are great. Everything else though is just ok to me. You're right though that they benefit from BR not having any good BBQ.

I don't understand the love for Flemings, either. Both times I've gone it has been really bad.
Really bad?
Posted on 5/23/14 at 3:12 pm to lsu480
Yes, as in pitifully bad. I've had better meals at Outback.

Walk on's is one of the worst restaurants i've ever been to. from top to bottom.

I agree with all of those. I'll also throw in Pastime. Their pizza sucks.

Please tell me more about these rewards

Pastimes! I had a pizza there back in 1975, it was pretty damn good thank you very much. And the red sox won game 6 that night against the reds, I think. The catcher hit a walk off home run that night, I think. Had a few buds that night too, thank you very much.

Ruffino's in Lafayette too, but it sure is popular.
