Heading to Natchez and Vicksburg doing the Natchez Trace then heading to Biloxi. Any rec's on places to eat or be sure to add to my list to try?

Vicksburg:
Rusty's
Walnut Hills
Beechwood

There is also the BBQ joint on 61 north of town. Tommy's I think. It's expensive but legit.

Natchez:
Camp
Magnolia Grill
Pearl St Pasta
Natchez Brewery

Yea, Key City is cool too. They only do lunch on weekends though, I believe. Same for Beechwood

Love Beechwood in Vicksburg. I've never had the steak and that is what they're known for - I always get the fried shrimp. And their creamed spinach is amazing

Heck we time our drives from Houston to NC so we are in Vicksburg for dinner so we can eat at Beechwood.

Old school joint - I doubt it's been remodeled in 40 years, or even had the carpet vacuumed.

Natchez:

Magnolia Grill
Donut Shop for tamales.
Natchez Brewing for pizza

Loved Natchez, hard pass on Vicksburg. It's just a very poor and sad town where all the poor folk spend their money at the casino or the liquor store.

10 South Rooftop seemed to be the happening spot.

Toot's used to make a nice Reuben in Vicksburg, but the guy died, and you can't lay a bet there anymore, either.

Beechwood and 10 South Rooftop are good. I'd go to Beechwood for dinner and Rooftop for a drinking lunch.

I like 10 south and will return, but the food is just ok. Burger is ok so I would recommend that. View is cool.

Key City serves food until 10pm on weekends. They have live music on the roof top Friday and Saturday nights.

Seconded. If I’m in the area I go out of my way to eat there. The fried green tomato BLT is incredible.

An underrated spot in Natchez is Southern Style Restaurant and Catering on Deveroux Drive. Great spot for soul food and breakfast after a night of dancing at Under The Hill Saloon on Silver St.

For lunch in Vicksburg during the week, I’d recommend Main Street Market (open M-F,11:00-2:00), Rusty’s Riverfront Grill, or Walnut Hills.

Rusty’s is also good place for dinner, but closed on Sundays and Mondays.
