Which one? The one near the track or the one on Bienville in Mid-City?

Maybe both?????????? I frequent the one in Mid-City and love the big frozen mugs of ice cold beer.

I love both of those places, but I was thinking Bienville specifically.

Morrison’s Cafeteria was my grandparents go to spot. They would have to get there early to avoid the dinner crowd rush lol

Mandina’s in Mandeville is also a nursing home everytime I go there. I actually really like their red beans so I’ll go on Mondays for lunch. Packed with people that look like they are over 80 to the point where I think they actually call bingo in there. Great food but something I’ve noticed.

Well it’s my favorite restaurant in the city and I was in it a few weeks ago - didn’t look like a bunch of old people to me.

Have you ever had their "Frenchaletta" po-boy? If not, it is a muffaletta on French bread and one of the favorites of the wife and I. We will split it since it is a pretty rich sandwich and I'll wash it down with one of their frozen mug beers and the wife usually gets a chardonnay.

Venezia and Mandina's in Mid-City

Mandina’s is a damn retirement home any given day of the week. You’ve never seen so many canes and walkers at a restaurant

The Peppermill

Always my go-to spot on Sunday morning on the way out of town after a night of revelry.

When did it close? Wonder if all their regulars passed away?

and La Cuisine in bucktown, RIP

That was actually in western Lakeview on Harrison. but you are correct---tons of blue hair. They had a damn good weekend brunch tho

I forgot about Giorlandos---for sure a restaurant run by old people for old people. other than lunch they never seem to be open+

Fury's for sure

Peppermill had a killer breakfast too. but yeah--a mecca for the denture set.

Anytime you see stuffed mirliton on a menu, chances are it is an old person restaurant.
