For breakfast, I would just do a bagel and coffee. Save the money for food you can't get in Louisian
This is good advice. You're not going to get anything for breakfast that's going to blow your mind, and beyond a good bagel or donut, it's probably going to be relatively expensive. Eat light, and hit the high end places for lunch, which is going to be a lot cheaper than dinner.

Take a cab to Grimaldi's in Brooklyn, then walk back over the Brooklyn bridge to get a great view of the city.

Agree on bagels from a cart for breakfast. Save your money for lunch, dinner, and drinks.

The Yankee sitting next to me is talking about crawfish. And cooking a steak for 4 hours on a grill.

Blue smoke was fair... Really they should call it no smoke because there is hardly any smoke flavor.... More than likely this is oven cooked.

The BBQ sauce was also fair... Tastes like they mixed some ketchup vinegar and a lot of pepper.

The high point was the bun... They say they make them fresh I don't know If it's true but it was damn good.

Two places I've been to recently.

Wallse is an Austrian restaurant in the Village. Very good.

Casa Mono is Batali's Spanish restaurant and it's top notch.

And if you really want to roll hard, get a reservation at Del Posto (easier said than done I assume). I haven't been of course, but by all accounts it is amazing. It's the first Italian restaurant in NYC to receive 4 stars from the NY Times in a long time, apparently. Here is the link to the review. Have fun.

Del Posto
It hasn't historically been that difficult of a reservation, but that may have changed with this review. It's a beautiful restaurant and the food is awesome.
