Have you tried this gutenberg? Sounds so awful that it may just be great.

What's wrong with opening up a can, dumping it in a bowl, throwing some mayo, slap ya momma, a hint of mustard, relish, and lettuce in there?

I do it at least once or twice a week. Easy meal. Not everything has to be some fanciful shite

Toss in a pasta salad with veggies of your choice (fresh peas, roasted red pepper, cherry tomatos, chopped broccoli, whatever), and a lemon vinaigrette. Top with grated romano or parmesan, fresh cracked black pepper.

I knew some body builders who used a lot of canned tuna as a healthy low calorie, high protein meal. They would rinse it off to get rid of some salt and then crack black pepper over it and eat plain.

though I've fed some cats with it, also

My cat will not eat it. I am not sure what to think about that. I thought maybe he was a food snob so I tried to feed him tuna steak and nope wouldn't eat that either.

eta: but my friend offered him cheetos the other day and he ate that. I think he is just a little off.

I had a cat who LOVED cheetos. That cat would seek them out and find unopened bags. Strangest darn thing. She was a tuxedo cat and she'd get the orange crumbs on her coat and then bathe for an hour, half cleaning, half chowing. It was really funny.

I just put some Chipotle Tabasco on it and eat straight from the can. Tastes great.

Mine will not go near tuna. Spaghetti is a different story. She loves that shite. I know for sure my cat is a little more than off.

My cat wouldn't touch tuna either, even when I made it fresh. Salmon as well, which really surprised me.

However, when I would steam snow crab legs, he would go apeshit and become a begging biped.

As was said earlier, Tuna Cakes:

Ingredients

* 2 (12 ounce) cans chunk light tuna in water, drained and flaked
* 1 cup bread crumbs
* 1 zucchini, shredded
* 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
* 1/2 onion, finely chopped
* 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
* 2 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
* 1 teaspoon finely chopped jalapeno pepper
* 1/2 cup nonfat cottage cheese
* 1/4 cup fat free sour cream
* 2 eggs
* 1 lime, juiced
* 1 tablespoon dried basil
* 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
* salt to taste
* 2 eggs
* 1 cup yellow cornmeal

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and spray with cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, thoroughly mix the tuna, bread crumbs, zucchini, green pepper, onion, green onions, garlic, jalapeno pepper, cottage cheese, sour cream, 2 eggs, lime juice, dried basil, pepper, and salt.
3. Beat 2 eggs in a shallow bowl, and place the cornmeal on a plate.
4. Scoop up about 1/4 cup of the tuna mixture, and gently form it into a compact patty. Dip both sides of each cake into beaten egg and then press into cornmeal, and place the cakes onto the prepared baking sheet. Spray the tops of the cakes with cooking oil spray.
5. Bake in the preheated oven until the tops of the cakes are beginning to brown, about 20 minutes. Flip each cake, spray with cooking spray, and bake until the cakes are cooked through and lightly browned, about 20 more minutes.

It's not lean or healthy but my favorite would be tuna macaroni casserole.

Growing up my mom made creamed tuna on toast, which is pretty damned good. Make a bechemel sauce, add canned tuna and some petit pois (peas) and serve over slices of toast.

No, but I'm sure it's good, the recipes I have tried off that blog usually are.

I can't get past just eating tuna straight out the can

Also I make a italian-style tuna salad. Tuna, olive oil, olives, sun dried tomatoes, marinated red peppers, pistachios, and lots of parsley. If you get good tuna packed in olive oil don't even drain it. It's really good and pretty healthy. Low carb for dieters too.
