I thought about it last night, struggled to keep from hitting some fast food. Won, didn't give in and still gained a freaking pound.

Dude. Everything on my daily menu comes directly labeled wit nutritional information.
Give or take a few calories, I know exactly how much I put in my body every single day. So no, I did not give in somewhere and yes, I am accurately tracking my caloric intake.
I've been on this diet over 210 days so I think I have it down how many calories are in the things I am eating. And I measure everything out.

I was pissed so I ate 2 hamburger patties for dinner tonight but that only added another 290 for a total of about 1200 because I skipped breakfast.
This hot weather is pissing me off. mod to high 80s all week.

do you watch your sodium intake daily ? you need to try to keep it to 2400 mg or less if possible .. if not, on some days yourbody will retain more water than others -- i.e. your daily pound weight fluctuations ..

Currently my salt intake is between 1000 and 1400mgs per day because of blood pressure issues.

Yesterday's total calorie count was 1566. I also did Jabberwocky's treadmill routine. It was a pretty good one, got the heart rate up along with a nice sweat.
I weighed in this morning at 232.4/228.4.
Just after a week everything is starting to be come routine when it comes to prepping for meal, weighng portions, preparing food.
Even though the calorie count has been low I have not had the feeling of hunger due to the between meal snacks (myoplex lite and handful of almonds (28g)).
Here is to starting another good week of diet and exercise.

guys it doesnt work that way. stop trying to equate a couple of days food intake to your weight. your body may be holding more water in your muscle tissue..especially if you've worked out hard a few days and your muscles are sore and trying to rebuild themselves..which could inflate your weight.
give.
it.
time.
if what you've been doing has been working; it WILL work for you in the future. just be patient and if you're in a stall, confuse your body by eating 2500 or 3000 calories for a couple of days.
the point here is to not diet your whole life. work your arse off now to get the weight off..then keep an eye on the scales going forward so you don't start gaining it back and you can enjoy food and not stress. even thanksgiving dinner won't kill you if you don't make it a week-long food-stuffing contest. once you're where you want to be you can enjoy all kinds of food again and not freak out about weight gain.
if you watch the scales daily once you're at your goal weight, then you can head off any potential weight gains quickly..only checking once a week is asking for trouble imo.
again..stop fretting about 1-2lb gains..you could fluxuate by as much as 4-5 lbs so aim more to stay within a given range (like 200-205..or 215-200..) and quit worrying if you gain a couple. over time it will start to drop again.
eta and water will never hurt you. drink plenty of that because it helps with the weight loss even though it could show temporary weight gains..buts its freaking water so dont' sweat it.

If I drank anymore water I would sprout gills. I drink about 96 ounces a day.
