This place sucks, 7:00 reservations seated at 8:30, rude people and way overbooked and overpriced, never again

Sounds like a typical Christmas Eve experience

You sat there for an hour and a half past your reservation waiting for a table? You have more patience than I do. I would have bounced far sooner than that.

Typically we would have, but they made you secure the reservation with a credit card, no show was 50.00 a head, not my card, on top of that the food was not anything to write home about and they gouged you on the price, LIVE and LEARN

It's become kind of a tradition, but yeah I could certainly stay home, absolutely won't be going there again

F that. You held up your end of the deal by showing up on time. They did not by making you wait until 8:30 for a 7 reservation.

What about the pricing did you think was bad?
That sucks that they made you wait so long for a reservation.

if they were running that far behind (90 minutes is a disaster…wheels completely off) I can promise you that however aggravated you were the kitchen and wait staff had you beat. I’ve been there and it is miserable on the house side as well

Were you compensated in any type of way? It's Christmas and they probably overbooked/understaffed/had callouts which I'm not excusing, but I'm hoping they at least tried some type of way to rectify your situation.

Yeah the OP was a victim of terrible preparation so he should call Gordon.

There’s a point where you just have to be firm and demand your money back and leave. You were past that point.

Limited menu, understandable, 65.00 for a chicken dinner 85.00 for a filet,75.00 for everything else (5choices)

Yeah the compensation was the bar tab was lost for while we were waiting

I passed this place on Christmas Eve evening and saw a ton of people outside. I through to myself what kind of people wait outside for that place (especially on Christmas Eve).

That is why I never go to restaurants on major holidays unless I can help it or unless it is Galatoire’s where they can handle it if you can get a table downstairs.
