Out of the way from BR but we stopped at either Billy's or Best Stop off 49 between Lafayette and Opelousas and they had them in the case with all the other cuts. Can't remember which because we stopped at both

Legnon's Boucherie in New Iberia on Jefferson Terrace has great 7 steaks, round steaks and pork grillades ...in addition to some great boudin!

I use to get some nice ones at Rouchers Meat Market in Plaquemine, La. About 20 mins from the Mississippi River bridge.

Boneless 7 steaks now on sale at Langenstein’s for (get this) $7/lb. Gonna try a rice and gravy with these this weekend.

Can you have a "7 steak" without the bone (that looks like the number 7)?

Sweet bump, though.

We get them when we bring a steer to the slaughterhouse, but you’re right, I never see them in stores.

I raised my own cattle for years, always had 7 Steaks. They were a very good cut in a brown gravy. I’d take a few round steaks and shoulder rounds, remove the bone, run them through the tenderizer, then I’d have veal cutlets/ minute steaks.
