Lumpia, spicy tuna roll, pork dumplings, drunken noodle, poke bowl…every bite of food was delicious.
The issue is the disparity in service between the bar, the kitchen, and the sushi bar.
Drink service very slow.
Lumpia and tuna roll ordered as appetizers. Dumplings, noodles, poke ordered as mains.
Lumpia came, then noodles and dumplings, then tuna roll, then poke bowl.
I know this is probably a typical problem for this type of restaurant. I’m not saying they need to completely resolve the issue, but it could be improved.
Food is good enough to put up with it. Will be back.

From my experiences over the years the food there is hit-and-miss. Some things are done really well; others, not so much.

Tonight was a hit. When it came, the food was fantastic, just really bad pacing/spacing.
At least my 12 y/o didn’t have to wait for her dumplings…that would have been a much different issue. Mom could wait for her poke bowl much easier than hangry tween waiting on her food.

I've only ever had the Drunken Noodles and those were always amazing.

This is exactly my experience. Sometimes I have an awesome meal, and sometimes I’m like “well that was bad”.

Probably the only place in town I have such vastly dramatic swings at.

Agree with above. Food is usually good for me…but service can be very hit or miss...

A friend of mine used to be the head sushi chef and used to hook me up with all sorts of fantastic creations. However he moved on to a new opportunity in Atlantic City so I really don't have much motivation to go to Soji anymore.

Same. Hard to understand how it can vary so wildly.

They do a great to go. Food has gotten way more consistent the last year. I’m a fan.
