I got married recently and the cookware fund filled up on the registry. We listed Misen, but also looking at the all-clad d5 and the Le Creuset set.

Anyone with first hand experience with any of the 3/multiple, or have another preference entirely? Thanks

If you're going with All-Clad wait for their factory sale. You will save a bunch of money. They usually have the D3, D5 and Copper lines available in most sizes of pots and pans.

All Clad for saute, small pots, stock pot, and Staub for larger braising, stew pots and one cast iron for high heat searing.

We got a set of Demeyere fry pans and Wushof knives with our wedding funds. We are both foodies and enjoy cooking. Really like both.

If the pans stick, dump water in them, bring to a roiling boil, and use a rubber spatula to scrape the crud off. EASY

Stainless is non toxic and the way to go. Cast iron is also non toxic. Beware of the rest.

I have All-Clad D5. I love it. I will probably designate someone to inherit it in my will.

That said, I use the saucepans at least 20 times as much as any of the other All-Clad pans, and I have many. For a skillet, I prefer cast iron and for a dutch oven I prefer enamel over cast iron ( cast iron may be too heavy for a chick though). So, much like kitchen knives, determine which ones you will actually use and buy (more) of those.

I would by multiple 1.5 and 2 quart saucepans before I would buy a set that would contain pans I rarely, if ever, use.

I have three pans from Demeyere and they're all great. Really want to get their pasta pot when I've got some spare cash lying around.
