I'd join you, but I don't think you would enjoy the sickness I have been dealing with since Friday.
12 lbs. lost since Friday.
Great way to diet.

tested negative for the flu, but my doctor seems to think it was a false negative or a bad viral infection.
you name it, I've had it. Vomiting, diarrhea, aches, sore throat, fever.
And now the wife has it.
Not fun.

my dad got ahold of something similar about two weeks ago .. tested negative for everything .. they can't pinpoint anything .. we even took him to a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy to look at his intestines .. and nothing comes up .. but he's just nauseated off and on, runs an ocassional fever, and isn't eating much ..

hope he starts to feel well. yesterday, i felt better, much better than Monday, but last night, i must have ran fever again. i don't think i have ever woke up with the sheets that soaked and it wasn't a good soak either.
today, mostly dizzy, but i think that is due to the medication, Methylpred dosepak and Levaquin.
the fever and aches are the worse part, the other stuff, well very manageable.
i tried to do all the things i needed to do to not get sick, but ... still happened.

it's not fun and to make matters worse, the wife is now sick and at home with me, which means i now need double the medication.

Damn! I hope that you both improve really soon! That's about as bad a flu (or whatever) as I've ever heard of.

Shame about Johnny D's, I'll give them one more shot.
Ditto on Ruffino's. My father-in-law loved the place. When he died we took all of the out-of-towners who came to the funeral there for dinner. We figured he would see that as an appropriate use of his estate money. He was toasted several times, if I remember well. He was cremated, so I guess he was toasted one more time.

Yep, doc said really didn't matter if I had/have the flu ... it's all about treating it now ... didn't really care about the previous results ... said it's pointless now to even test again to rule out the false negative ...
but today was a good day ... much better ... and no fever ... so ... we'll see what tonight brings.

Is that a common occurrence over there?
