They're opening a 2nd location where the old Burger King was at Lobdell and Jefferson too
Really? Hadn’t heard that or seen any construction, etc

I would link it, but it's either behind a paywall at The Advocate, or on Facebook which I don't have.
But you can Google "bldg 5 new location" if you subscribe to either of those.

Is highly unlikely to come from some Gringo hailing from the Florida panhandle.
No offense to OP meant.

I’m originally from Louisiana. Northshore, but moved out after high school and never looked back. Moved to Pensacola in 16 while my wife went to grad school. I ran Jackson’s from 17-19 and that was my last gig in the service industry.

"Point being, there's still margins to be made at $30 to $32"
No profit to be made at that price. Barely breaking even.

He’s not wrong about Louisiana BBQ being horrible. I live in Portland and it’s pathetic how much better the BBQ scene is here than the entire state of Louisiana

Other thread convinced me BR needs a Katz Deli. Wait, I don't live there anymore - we need one up here first.

I don't know a thing about running a restaurant but I would like a place that serves hot dogs, tamales and fried chicken. Just 3 things, but do it well.
