Traveling vodka salesmen would take pictures of bartenders and people with the mugs and then take them to subsequent bars to prove the popularity of the drink and vodka.

It's a good summer drink, but only if use the good ginger beer. (Smirnoff)

I never realized Smirnoff had a ginger beer.

I like Tito's and Gosling.

The copper mug salesman just did a much better job of marketing the copper mugs

Gotcha, makes sense. Goes to show how marketing can make a huge difference(ex: popularity of engagement rings long ago due to a company trying to boost diamond sales and not cause it's a tradiition).

Don't see why the OP is so upset though, thinking a mug of all things is "too fancy" for him. Like someone else said...it's just a copper mug, not fine crystal.

I too would love a mule now. In a copper mug of course

Those nail clippers are crap. Butters wouldn't hold still the time I tried to use them. Jerked right as I clipped his nail and I clipped too short....one bloody mess.

Classic drink that is traditionally served in a copper mug. Hipsters and wanna-be's have made it popular again now that all the "uncool" are drinking the formerly hip Old Fashioned

OTers are bad at science, this is known. There's also something to said for mixing acidic drinks in copper containers as not being terribly a good idea unless you know how that copper was made.

If you put 7 Moscow Mules in copper mugs on a treadmill going 288 miles per hour in reverse will the plane take off? Bonus question: what does the stewardess do with the extra dollar?

Oh, and Mules are awesome.

All of the mugs have nickel, stainless steel or food lacquer lings.

I guess some people are selling unlined mugs, but I'd avoid them.
