I think the game is worth the $30 but they could have made it a pile better. The whole legacy idea to make the 2nd -4th playthrough more meaningful, falls flat for me.

I would have preferred to be able to seed all of the bases on the map. Maybe after the plague hearts are destroyed, all of the loot respawns and now you can seed the bases or even the houses with the maximum number of occupants.

Once all of the bases are fully seeded, no new zombies will respawn and you can eventually clean the whole map.

Lol, sheriff and warlord legacies are useful. Starting off with 4 assault rifles and a .50 cal is nice and the sheriff daily deliveries are helpful.

It would be nice of you could take over territories. Cleansing houses and keeping the areas zombie free

Just wrapped up the trader legacy, by far the easiest. I was swimming in influence towards the end, being able to traders fairly often made my crew very influence rich.

I'm way behind you guys. Just moved to my 2nd base at Mike's Concrete. The attack that came was massive and got one of my survivors. At least I finally have a garden, forge, and a few more beds. I built a water still but I want to end up removing that after I get a water outpost.

In case you haven't figured this out yet, you need to level all of your players up to hero because you get a positive bonus from each player once they are leveled to hero.

TBH I just stayed at the initial settlement until I picked up enough survivors and influence to move into the biggest facility.

Just have to get into the routine of picking up everything. Driving a vehicle with a big trunk all full of goodies and then always having someone with you so you can switch to them when your inventory is full then fill theirs.

Then sell everything.

First partial play I moved twice. Then my main play, I saved up for the best base. Was already to switch and realized I needed 4 more folks before I could move in. That was a pain because I had been ignoring folks with bad traits so I hadn't let anyone new join. Think I had well over 4k points before I was able to finally move in.

After my first playthrough, if a survivor who wants to join doesn't have a trade skill or an empty slot to learn, they ain't joining my group unless I'm desperate

Hell, I spent a very long time rerolling my starting 3 so they would have no defective traits. Made extremely difficult since they don't tell you what the traits do so I had to find an online spreadsheet someone had tossed together.

Once I had that awesome starting 3, no way I was polluting my base with bad traits. So yeah, I sent several folks off on their own after helping them. Most on my additional group came from stealing members from enclaves.

I need to find someone who knows metal work. My forge was useless. I went ahead with a still, garden, and watch tower. I had an auto shop, made the truck I need, then ditched it for a staging area to save on materials

Forge really isn't great. I had one on my first almost full play through.

You get so many melee weapons, it is better to just go ahead and pick the 9 best since 9 is the most players you can have. Then repair when needed.

A forge is noisy and it consumes material every day. I haven't missed it at all this play. Only good thing was that you could convert materials into a decent amount of parts but once again, you get tons of melee weapons you can salvage along with crappy guns. Also you can find a good workshop mod that converts things into parts.

If the forge weapons were TREMENDOUSLY better, it might be worth it, but at the end of the day I don't think they were super awesome.

A still if great as long as you are meeting your food needs. You need to make sure to hit the bonus on the garden and you need to ration food in the kitchen. Then you can convert some food to fuel. Make sure to hit the water button first, then convert fuel to food.

With the still, you don't need to waste a spot on the water outpost and you don't burn a fuel the outpost would use. Chemist is awesome with the still then munitions.

So get rid of the fuel outpost and convert food to fuel? I'm just getting to where I am not chasing the next rucksack of food. That will change if I get more survivors. I need to see how to get the farm
