I've gotten every COD game at launch since COD 2. Not getting BO4 because it won't be on Steam and I'm done with the series. WWII was fine, but the problem is that it was nothing special at all.

Yeah, Blops has the name as best series in the franchise, it sells way more than any other installment like Blops 3 in 2015 doubling the sales of 2014 and 2016.

I don't get it either. After playing MW Remastered, I think a lot of us were "this is good, but MW2 would be even better".
When they announced no MP, the backlash was pretty impressive. I wonder if they brought it back and are giving second thought to that decision.
