Yea, the changes they've made for PVE are fantastic. It has brought some strategy and ability for fireteams to run different loadouts to cover different scenarios. Made the nightfalls more challenging but in a fun way.

I haven't done anything but flashpoint and crucible this week. Last night was the first decent pvp night I've had since the changes.
We did attempt a flawless EoW. Only death was when one guy got shot out of the cannon weird. Oh well...we'll get it tonight.

Yea, I don't know what it was but last night wasn't bad in pvp. Seemed to be running a lot smoother. It wasn't nearly as bad as the past two nights. If you come up against a team that are all using that exotic special grenade launcher, just quit though. It isn't worth your time
The nightfall was fun. Had to balance elements and stuff again, it was nice. I really like the ability to choose between a couple nightfalls.

Is there any reason to jump in before the expansion besides playing with the different load outs right now?
Posted on 8/31/18 at 8:33 am to Brettesaurus Rex
Not much. You can stock up on materials and engrams and stuff that may hopefully autodecrypt next week to new stuff.
If you haven't gotten all the gold chests on each of the planets, those are dropping 12 planet materials each, so you can rack up on those.
The flashpoint is worth doing as it drops a new piece of gear.

Well, if you're not at least 380, I would recommend trying to get there.
Posted on 8/31/18 at 8:45 am to Devious
Close enough, 370+ on all characters. I'll probably check out Gambit at some point tomorrow though.

quote:yeah, this would be really the only thing worth doing. infusion now needs planetary materials so having a bunch will make leveling up when forsaken drops much easier.

I'm 400 on both mine so taking it easy this week. Just adjusting to crucible changes.
Gambit looks like a blast.
Once forsaken drops, I'm planning to grind activities with xp ghosts to hit the new level cap, run through the campaign, then hit powerful rewards to push as close to 520 as possible before the raid drops. I want to be raid ready the day it releases.

Yep. I'm going to try my hardest to not infuse or level anything up until everything kind of settles out and we know what some of the god rolls are. Ultimately that won't happen, as I'll infuse and masterworks the first decent looking thing I get, but in theory I will show restraint
Posted on 8/31/18 at 9:01 am to GoCrazyAuburn
Don't masterwork this week. It's bugged. 10 cores for one level...
Posted on 8/31/18 at 9:02 am to Devious
Oh yea definitely not doing it this week.

if you really want to get forsaken ready, grind the shite out of strikes and crucible
get as much weapon parts, strike coins, & crucible coins as possible. that way when the new gear comes out for each, you can drop a shite ton of coins/parts in each.

I'm sitting 5k weapon parts, 600 crucible tokens, 200 vanguard tokens because I put off hitting 50 until SoH, 200 mw cores, and 200 mod components.

Yea I really need to do some strikes. I've got 247 crucible tokens right now, but only 110 vanguard. Gunsmith is at 696.

I still need to purge weapons and armor from my vault
I also have 1500 calus tokens. Really, I didn't start holding on to things until SoH. That really brought me back.
I just want to be in position to max a god roll when I get it.

i watch a streamer (triplewreck) and his entire inventory is basically full of coins & weaponparts. it's like 16,000 weapon parts, 6,000 crucible tokens, and 3,000 vanguard tokens. but i guess it's a lot easier when streaming is your job.
also, just found this video. all the sleeper shots ricochet back and hit argos
