I think it's a silly thing to be upset about. I keep seeing it will affect the raid run for world's first, but everyone is affected. So it's still a level field.

Yea, the unfair thing would be if they did another re-set on tuesday. That would basically penalize the players that couldn't get all the weekly stuff done by saturday or finish the new reset. This way, nobody is losing any gear, they just get more of it a few days earlier.

I don't think you quite understand the issue. After the reset on Saturday the powerful milestones mentioned didn't actually give powerful gear. So people that did them didn't get upgrades and will be locked out of upgrades again on Tuesday.
So I got my powerful Milestones early in the week. Did them again on Saturday, but didn't get powerful upgrades. Now Tuesday comes and I won't have those reset.
Someone else does their milestones early in the week and got powerful upgrades, but then didn't do their milestones after the Saturday reset will then be have powerful milestones available on Tuesday reset.
I'm am now behind 3 powerful upgrades (which are the only way to increase your power level). It is in no way "everyone getting affected equally"

Likewise, it seems people that didn't complete their milestones before the accidental reset on Saturday are also going to be screwed. Either they do them now and don't get those on Tuesday or they wait until Tuesday and miss out on this week entirely.

Pretty sure I got powerful gear from them

Yea I was wondering why I only got a light level 500 piece from a powerful engram. Was supposed to be 515. Thought I did something wrong

The daily heroic story missions have been dropping at 500. That wasn't just the saturday update. I definitely got 515 stuff drop for me form the weekly challenges from the saturday update though.

It only applies to Gambit, Crucible, and Heroic Story milestones and only if you did them already earlier in the week.
