Played about 5 games of trials with some buddies last night. Got absolutely pounded in 4 of them, but finally found a team that was worse than us for the last game.

Not a huge fan of the MIDA meta game right now.

Yeah trials is tough, our group managed to get 7 but ran into a couple buzzsaws. Flawless looks like it's pretty tough.

Well, for me when I finally hit level 20 I was around 200 PL, I think. So just split the difference between that and 260, maybe even around 240, and consider that high range.

A lot of flawless is luck around who you draw.

I've gone 10-15 games without losing this weekend but also have run into two teams in a row that had guys with 4+ KD's who 6-0'ed us lol.

I don't understand how somebody gets THAT good at a video game. How many hours must those people have in competitive gaming to be on the order of 3x better than people with months of play time?

Its pretty fricking ridiculous in Trials. These fricks basically hit you with one shot and you empty a clip and they barely penetrate their shield it seems. These guys basically snipe you without looking through a scope with one shot. Bastards.

Younger kids with better reflexes and all the time in the world to play.

More power to them, but I want nothing to do with it. I'll take casual all day long.

Well playing in trials is easier for good players than playing in standard matchmaking crucible. They normally have to go against guys on their level. But trials is not skill based.
It is why really good players have crazy high K/Ds in trials.
As long as the player base is strong.
It is also why average players and PVE mainly players have a bad time in Trials.

It also helps a lot to have a group of guys you run with constantly. Especially with how the game plays in D2.

I am talking about really good players.

Krafty for example.

His trials K/D is 3.5
His standard crucible is 2.66

He mainly only carries 3 people in trials in his streams. So he does not play with guys he runs with normally ever. Nor are they any good.

Edit: as his numbers dropped some from yesterday.

Also of note. I am talking about the current state of trials. Once all the casual players stop wanting to play it. And they will. It will become sweaty again.

I've been grinding public events the last few nights before the reset today. I use a fire team medallion, and I've been getting an exotic dropped once every 6-7 events. Been pretty successful for the most part!

Interesting. Where do you get the fireteam medallions?

You get them from the lady at the tower that decrypts bright engrams. They cost 50 dust a piece I think.
