You have some good info and I thank you for it.
Some of my good friends have gone back and started playing it, mostly because there isn't really anything out at the moment to grab our interest, but I just can't go back.
It makes me feel better to see others also are not so keen on the game, even after this many changes.

The base game is on sale on PS4 and Xbone for 10$ at many retailers.
If anyone hasn't tested the waters yet but would like to see how the game feels now that is a great value proposition. Heck of a lot of content for 10$

I've been trying to get the Ikelos shotgun from Escalation Protocol. Farmed the Level 7 boss 30 times and no shotgun. Anybody here got it yet?

Ran it Friday with a guy that had similar luck to you.
I got 4 of them in ~15 runs.

Is this the must have weapon like Gjally was ? I never got one in D1..But I did get fatebringer and the Scout rifle from Vault and I got the sniper rifle that slowly regens ammo.. So I cant complain i guess.
Currently in D2, I bought the Huckleberry from Xur back last week and the Dune Marchers(sp?) titan armor from him.. I have been playing quite a bit since then and JUST last night I got a second Submachine gun to drop for me in my Second Slot so I can run the "no reload" build. It is quite a lot of fun and a unique playstyle. Really cleans out trash on strikes very well.

sunshot is pretty great as well
positive outlook auto rifle is so frikin good. melts fools in pvp and pve. outlook as my energy gun and nameless midnight as my kinetic weapon is my go to for pvp and most of the time on pve

Huckleberry and mida mini with the reload boots is a ton of fun. I like double autos and the actium war rig chest for a similar feel.

I use crimson for pve most of the time. That and devour allow me to run empowering/lunas without worrying about survivability. Pretty good all around build.

I've been rotating some, but I've been running Midnight and The Number a good bit in PVP. Has been working pretty well. Depending on the occasional map, I'll go either Jade Rabbit or Graviton. Man I just wish the Rabbit was as good as the D1 rabbit. That thing is so filthy in D1 pvp.

I've seen several people with crazy luck getting it to drop. I didn't get it to drop until my FIFTY THIRD EP boss kill last week. But I got it
