I must of gotten the updated version then
Most of what your complaining about is not a problem for me. I guess I'm not looking for the bad in things.

no you're settling for an inferior game and just learning how to play within a shitty constraint

Whatever you say, I'll use it as a time killer and to give me something to do until football season, you on the other hand can pop out the Ps2 and play some 07

I am, I'm not a fricking video game critic, if its exactly the same with updated rosters and a better Online Dynasty, then I see no problem.
This is why EA will continue to put out a shitty product. There's no need to try when people will blindly buy the game. Look at the link in the other thread. IT'S THE SAME GAME...This will be the first time since the game came out that I won't purchase the game.

My main problems with the game were
1. OL/DL play. In my dynasty i would always have a great D line and yet i could never get pressure. And if i have 2 defensive ends who are both overall 98 then they should dominate and not play patty cake for 6 seconds.
2. The QB play was way way too good. It seemed the only passes that were incomplete were interceptions and passes that were batted down.
3. How many teams run CB blitz every other play? It gets annoing after awhile.

Oh boy.... everyone needs to calm down. Its a video game that costs $60. If people want to buy it let them, I'm gonna get it. You guys don't have to, but preaching to us about how EA will keep making the same game if we keep buying isn't going to help. Only about .0000000000001% of the people that will buy the game are reading this. BTW, there are improvements in 10. For example there is adaptive AI that can'y really tell from the demo due to the short quarters. Plus the passing game is more difficult, which is a very good thing. They made campus legend a little better by adding Erin Andrews and Kirk Herbstreit to the mode telling about your players progress. Also there is game planning that once again you can't tell the full effect of it from the demo. Add in new animations and you got a good game. Once again though its up to you if you want to get it.

yet somehow the OL has problems pass blocking
you have to do a ton of pre-snap adjustments to get any running game going, and sometimes these adjustments make your OL completely whiff

same this year, at least in the demo

have any of you experienced the shite where your QB gets hit when you throw? that is going to suck. it goes to the DL every time

Player lock sucks. All it does is lock in the player and flip the side of the camera. It was much better in 1st person on Madden.

but the game last year sucked fricking a-hole
I'd hate to see your thoughts on NCAA 2008, LOL.

you can't control your WRs and DBs like you could on ps2/xbox
Maybe YOU cant, lol.
On 2008, yea it was impossible. But on 2009, usering with ur WRs and DBs was EASY. 2010 seems a bit tougher with the camera angles,b ut with practice, shouldn't be that bad at all.

Controlling the WR is not a problem at all in 09 on Ps3. In fact, most of my catches that are longer than 20 yards are user catches
Yea, I gotta be honest, I dont know ANYONE other than SFP saying that.
I user catch EVERYTHING on defense, and anything mroe than 10 yards down the field on offense on 2009, and it's really not hard at all.

they still do the lil hop jump
you can't shield your body from defenders for shite. now this could be used for evil in 2007, but if you could play good D with your DBs you could do the same. they've eliminated it in 2009 by making your guys hop and not jump
I think you're simply talking about a different game, lol.
MANY people complained about the jump catch being too easy on 2009.

if you can get ahead of the pass, stop, and jump up it can be effective
the glide forward catch is nearly impossible
the camerawork has a lot of blame in this problem

But you said guys dont jump, they hop.
I know ANY time i throw a post or square in, I throw it high with the precision, i switch to the WR, then he jumps and catch it. It's really hard to stop, to the point where some have complained it's kinda cheesy, which is BS cause it can be stopped if u have good user skills on D.
Posted on 6/21/09 at 11:37 pm to shel311
the reason why it's cheezy is b/c QBs are insanely accurate. irl QBs often miss those throws, and most QBs don't have the arm to complete those well outside of 10 yards. in NCAA they can rocket in 30 yard lasers
and i haven't said it's impossible to do some things, but i've said that i refuse to learn how to learn gimmicks of shitty controls that don't mimic realistic physics
