Tell that to Tiger. What a silly reason to avoid a game.

No, that’s not what we are talking about.

Because I feel like a golf game should be challenging?

it sounds more like you’re afraid of a challenge, to me…

Not sure how you assumed that. I have never been into games that are unrealistic. I don’t find playing madden and winning 72-0 fun. The opposite is actually true, I’d rather play a game that is a challenge. I don’t like games that you can play hours upon hours and build up a character just to shoot in the 50s in golf.

You have no idea what settings he is playing on

I haven’t changed them so I’ll update what the official settings are but I did have the putt preview on and the shot track.

Probably going to remove both after the masters. It was a round with a lot of good approach shots.

Yea, if you are playing on the default difficulty with those things on, it is definitely doable to hit that score. I've removed the putt preview and shot preview, still playing on the pro difficulty believe and I'm still shooting way under par. Only putt aid I have on is the distance control because that is one area the game is really lacking in information to be able to read. Going to increase the difficulty and the putting forgiveness difficulty here soon as well.

Then turn up the difficulty. You can make this game plenty hard. Using the gamebreaker or w/e the hell it's called is all optional and can be turned off.

You sound like someone that plays games on Easy/Varsity/Pro then complains about games not being hard enough while refusing to adjust difficulty sliders.

If I played The Show on All-Star I'd hit over .500 and pitch complete game shutouts every start. That doesn't make it a bad game or unrealistic. It just means I need to be playing on Legend.

TBH, i don't even play games anymore. When I did, I would always play them on the medium/hard level because that was a challenge for me. If I started winning over and over, then I would adjust the sliders based on what I could find on the internet.

Sorry I pee'd in everyone's Cheerios. I think a golf game in which someone can shoot a 58 (which has only been done once in PGA tour history by Jim Furyk) is not a fun game.

I'll remove myself from this thread.

I wouldn't say that. Your logic just doesn't track. Golf games are some of the most customizable sports games out there in terms of difficulty adjustment. I guarantee you aren't shooting a 58 on tour difficulty with hard/fast greens, thick rough, and high wind.

Damn I made a guy quit because I was playing on pro and shot a low round.

I made the mistake of turning on the option for an AI player to show up during tournaments in a turn-based format. Thought it would be fun to watch the pro that I'm paired with each round.

Huge mistake. First, you have to turn the option on at the start of the season and it won't let you turn it off until the next season starts.

Second, this option is bugged in that sometimes the player that is showing up on the screen isn't actually the player that is recording the scores. That's confusing, but in essence:

-Jason Day is physically showing up on the screen. He shoots back to back birdies but Jason Day's scorecard is showing 2 Pars. If you go into the leaderboard the scores are being applied to another golfer, Spieth for instance.

It's really bizarre. Also, they assign the same 3 or 4 golfers as my playing partner every round. Day, Scheffler, and Cantlay, with Spieth showing up once. I know they don't have a ton of golfers in the game but it's an annoyance. It also takes the AI player forever to line up and swing so the time it takes to play a round is more than doubled.

It's a buggy feature and I wouldn't have an issue with it if the game would let me turn it back off.

It should have let you turn it off the next round. I’m playing a season full four rounds, for the first one I had the ai for same reason wanted to see how they approached shots.

I found the card to be right but the announcing off sometimes and silly shite like missing 1 inch putts happening.

I also hated that they weren’t pairing me correctly, which likely had to do with who they have a liscense for and where they were at. I just hated being in the lead in round 3 or 4 and not teeing off last.

shite, you’re right. For some reason I thought it said it was an option that could only be changed at the start of the season. Not sure what I saw. Huge quality of life discovery….thanks

I played like 3 rounds with it. If they had more guys and played in your players time slot instead it would be better.
