For regular weapons. Unique weapons and shields upgraded with the Somber Smithing Stone only go to +10.

Anyone else going the way of being semi to overpowered vs main bosses? Or do you actually like dying 50+ times to the same boss over and over again and learning his movements and abilities so that you perfect it on that 69th time?

Honestly everything has been happening organically by just exploring. Sure I was blocked by the "first" boss but it appears to be things are running smoothly....so far.

Level 39 as of now. 27 hours in. I have to make myself go outside or I might never stop playing.

Does anyone else think Margit is significantly more difficult than the past gate keepers of getting good to access the rest of the game like Father Gascoigne?

He’s much easier than Margit imo. Interestingly there’s apparently an item similar to the music box in Bloodborne you can find and use on Margit to make him easier but I don’t know what or where it is.

I think so but what's great is that you aren't stuck like in previous games...or forced to just grind. Instead you can just leave and explore and keep finding new things.

I think Elden Ring has more complex combat mechanics as well (also more ways to git gud your own individual way too) that Margit has to serve as a check on. Gascoigne is basically just a check on if you can parry.

Shittttt. I was able to buy the stone that knocks Margit down by a dude named Peter or Paul, in a cave, after sparing his life. I wish I could recall where in the hell that was!

Yes. I'm past Raya Lucaria and no boss has been even close to as difficult as Margit. It's night and day.

I'm stuck on Margit. Level 18, can get him down to about 25% health and just can't do any better. I summon the bro and pop my jellyfish and just try and DPS my arse off while blocking his wide sweeps but some of those moves (the ground pound) seem unavoidable.

I would go explore elsewhere and come back to Margit. You will have a much better time that way.

God I love this game. I'm happy to report that it just gets better and better the longer you play.

Huge tip I can give people, the weeping peninsula is about the same level content, maybe slightly higher, than the rest of Limgrave. I highly recommend going there before stormveil castle, and it was basically intended that you do even though there isn't much in the game that tells you this.

You will have a ton of extra flask charges and they will heal for a lot more as there are several teardrops in Limgrave and weeping peninsula.

I didn't do it till after stormveil and there were some enemies in there that were making me question my existence. It was a little disappointing to go down to weeping peninsula overleveled and steam roll it.

Where’s a good spot to farm some easy levels? How do I get spells as a vagabond?
