Yeah, dexterity will help you cast faster, intelligence helps with damage. Meteorite staff is easy to find early on, then I would get Lusat’s staff. Talismans and flasks charges are a must.
As he mentioned, I would get Comet Azur, but you need three slots and 60 intelligence to use it.

Radgaon Icon
Graven Mass Talisman
Dragoncrest Greatshield
Moon of Nokstella
Stargazer Heriloom
Flasks charges:
Anything to negate damage (Opaline Bubbletear you can find early)
Cerulean Hidden Tear (reduces all FP cost for a duration)

I love accidentally going into areas that I'm way too underpowered for lol. Went through the gateway by third church and got absolutely humbled by the big arse monster that I spawned right behind hahaha

Just started playing this game today. Haven't gotten around to entering the castle in the first zone yet. Just about done exploring. Really enjoying it so far. Hopefully it doesn't glitch out on me at a pivotal time like DS did. Haven't been back to Souls games since. Just too much effort to have to replicate.

I beat this game a couple months ago. It took me many, many, many hours. It was my first Fromsoft game, and I never play games like this, so my learning curve felt steep.
There really is a satisfaction to beating the bosses that no other game has provided. Except Elden Beast. frick that runaway bitch.
Tonight I ran across a YouTube of this guy Ludwig playing until completion, only stopping to sleep at night (and eat and piss, I presume), and it's hilarious. I recommend watching if you've finished the game.
