Wow. This is definitely not the game for you.

ETA: BTW, the sniper battle with Quiet is fricking awesome. Me being a sniper primarily in the game, I enjoyed it immensely.

I can deal with hard games. I was getting used to the mechanics, games like this feel foreign to me if I don't play them for a while.

the guy is a huge souls player. I'm sure he will adjust.

Yeah, once you get the feel for it, it's pretty sweet. The game has a great feel to it. I've never really been into Metal Gear games and this one feels much more user friendly than the others. Casual players like myself can still enjoy it.

As far as Dark Souls, I hail you.

That's a game I definitely do not have patience for.

Manus is still the only boss in Souls that I haven't killed. Went to Oolacile on NG4+ and I can not beat him

His health pool is ridiculous, even for NG. It's best to treat him like a Bloodborne boss -- keep your distance and just bait his attacks.

Played for quite a while tonight; killed some commies, saved a dog, all while listening to "She Blinded Me with Science." This game is going like any other stealth-action game for me -- I legitimately try and use non lethal force, but there's always that one a-hole that spots me and it all goes to shite. I'm only 3% in, and half the population of the Soviet occupation is dead. My Big Boss gives zero fricks.

So far, the Africa missions are certainly a step up in difficulty. Traitors Caravan and Rescue the Intel dudes missions were hard as frick. Had to replay them several times.

Frick the skull unit. Hard. In the butt.

The amount of pleasure I get from dropping a supply box on some poor sap's head has to be illegal in 47 states.

D-Horse is pretty decent as a buddy. DD is a beast...makes almost every mission a breeze. Quiet isn't all that, plus she's a pain in the arse to order around with the menu. I'm working on D-Walker right now to max it out. It's pretty good. I think I'll have more fun with it after I finish the game and just want to smash and grab during missions.

I'm over 60 hours in now. I'm only at main mission 16 (of 50) and I'm showing 35% complete. I've done about 50 of the 157 side ops, so that's keeping me busy, and I keep replaying early main missions trying out the different gear and buddies. Traitors Caravan sucked arse for a while, but now I can S-rank it and beat it in about 2 minutes.

This is a game I'll be playing for a very long time. Lots of replay value.

Are you sure that your Big Boss is "the" Big Boss?

Well, "easy" is a little bit of a stretch, IMO. I do think it's appealing to the masses, like GTA5. Either way, it definitely gets harder than it is in the opening sequence.

It definitely has better enemy AI than in recent games. It's cool if you sit and watch them; they'll alternate posts every so often.

When is an ideal time to recruit Quiet?
