True. But as someone who's bout 30-40% travel, I can't wait to carry the thing around. Zelda on an airplane? Yes please.
I never did get into Mobile gaming, because 90% of the time multiplayer games are Pay to win, controls suck, and the only good single player games are ports of classics....with awful controls. And the DS/3DS were too single purpose honestly.
I really hope the Switch allows apps. I just need stuff like Amazon/Netflix, Dropbox/Drive. And a decent mobile browser.

That's the cool thing. It's portable but you can play 2 player with a real person and they don't need to have a switch

Yeah Street Fighter looks great. Kart on the go will be nice. I'd probably get FIFA if I end up giving up on my X1, which is my current debate. I was looking forward to Andromeda, Crackdown, RDR2, and Resident Evil, but most games have been letdowns to me, and if only 1 or 2 of those games are good then I'm not sure that's worth it to keep the X1 around.

Ok, so I'm not exactly happy about the Switch, not gonna lie, I might not even get it unless they actually go through with it and discontinue the 3DS (I really don't think they do...)
Who knows, I might end up with it, whatever - BUT -
Idiots who are begging for Nintendo to go 3rd Party are just that - idiots. Look at Sega as tale of what happens when you go 3rd party as a big 1st party - it just isn't pretty. Nintendo not having control of the system 100%... I just don't know if it would end up well for them like everyone thinks. Pretty sure every IP would take a massive hit - and we would not longer get games like Splatoon - and the console market would just become that much more Westernized.
Want to see what happens when a Japanese company tries to be more Western? FFXV
Nintendo wouldn't be able to make as much money 3rd party - and they would frankly just give up on innovating, and probably just spit out a smash every 2 years on ps4, and a Zelda every 4 or 5 on ps4, and every time the games wouldn't look or play half as good as they do now... but $$ right, and being able to play it on your shiny ps4.
Before long Smash would go the way of Street Fighter (not really all that great in 2016) and start raping you with in game transactions in order to keep up
Mario Kart will go the way of Need for Speed
Mario - banjo kazooie
and Zelda would just get lost in a market filled with other action games like Horizon Zero Dawn and probably become a non-seller and Nintendo would just stop making them after 1 big flop (all it would take is no sales of SS in NA and it happens)

Nintendo is painting themselves into a corner. People want to play their games, but don't want to purchase their goofball consoles to play them. And 3rd party is slowly but surely walking away. It's inevitable.
