I did not "ask" you to take the reins, I was taken out by a stray IGLA! Smoke and Wallaby manage to take the reins with little to no experience, but I attribute that to then because they know - green button good, red button bad!

Ah, makes more sense.

I was taken off guard and I'd spent several hours putting my best effort into lowering my reaction time with adult beverages.

I rarely cross up my buttons like that. Like I said, full retard.

I'm playing on a crap tv.

I can't even see who I'm killing half the time. Can't read the text on this piece of junk.

Must have overlooked you. A thousand pardons.

Dark souls isn't really reliant on text once you know what everything is and what all the items do.

I'll have to squint to see item descriptions, but it's not so bad. Only thing I curse in that game is cheap deaths.

Finally beat it. New game plus is kinda challenging at certain points. Managed to take down ornstein and smough on my first attempt oddly enough on NG+.

Dumb question.

Last night was the first time I have actually tried to use the SOFLAM. If I understand it correct I can set it up aiming where I want it to me and walk away, and it will do its thing, right?

If I want to move where it is aiming do i have to run all the way back to it, pick it up and then deploy it again?

once its deployed, you can walk away

then hit left on the d-pad to "access" it, remotely.

as far as it painting on its own, im not sure

It only paints what's directly in it's line of sight while not controlled by the player, from what I've read.

it will automatically designate things in front of it, but after you place it down you can aim it. Just hit on the d-pad to bring up the SOFLAM control and instead of the SOFLAM it brings up a handheld, just click the right trigger and you see what the designator sees. I recommend placing it down and then immediately running away to a safe place to use it. I kill a lot of recons who sit next to the SOFLAM.

That was me last night, trying to figure the damn thing out. Now that I know I can control it remotely I will become more efficient with it
