You'll be able to get a ton of blood stone shards and twin blood stone shards. That will allow you to get multiple weapons to +6. Blood stone chunks are much more rare (but they can be farmed if you spend the time) so when you go above +6 make sure it's on the weapon you want to use the rest of the game.

I started with the ace and got comfortable so I have kept upgrading it. If I do NG+ i will experiment with different weapons

I've been using the threaded cane and saw cleaver this play through. The stunlock is real with the cane. It feels like cheating.

It seems like every chunk is in Yahargul or Mensis

I didn't even see a blood rock my first play through. I was kind of pissed bc I made sure to take my time and do everything right and then the end was just thrown at me without warning. I went back to Hunter's Dream after beating Mergo's Wet Nurse to spend some echoes and then it's like "Ok this is happening. I'll just go with it I guess."

Blood rock is kinda hard to get unless you know where it is. You need to jump through a hole in the wall on the second lift from mergo's base. Then kill some of those brain guys and drop the eye into the pit. Then fall through a hole in the floor to get to the body with the single blood rock in each play through. They aren't givin those things away, in other words.

Son of a bitch. I died on that bridge with the brain guys like 5 times and said frick it. I was planning on trying later but never got around to it.

I have the ax but got the blunderbluss for my gun. I should of got the pistol. I have enough shards to upgrade at least one level.

I beat her right as the missiles killed me. So when I dropped down again the cutscene started at I was transported out of the area without my echoes. My trophy pic for Rom is the beginning of the You Died screen.

Wear headphones when you go to iosefka after killing rom. You can hear a faint baby cry.
